Brigitte Pollio

Brigitte Pollio has been an Education Specialist, K-12 Learning at the National Museum of Asian Art since October 2020.   Prior to working at NMAA, Brigitte worked for over ten years at the National Gallery of Art championing slow-looking and Project Zero in both school and family programs.  In addition to her work as a museum educator, Brigitte has been teaching yoga for 20 years to both adults and children.  She holds a bachelor’s degree in art history, a Master’s degree in Museum Education, and is a 200hr trained yoga teacher with a 95 hour specialty in children’s yoga.  Brigitte believes that both art and yoga can help us to slow down and be a more present in a world that seems to move faster every day.  She is passionate about working with schools and teachers and bringing the tools of slow-looking, movement, and mindfulness into the classroom.
