Lisa Danahy

Lisa Danahy (C-IAYT, E-RYT 500, YACEP) has dedicated her career of nearly 40 years to providing practical tools for wellness and personal success to children and adults of all ages.  With an MS in Yoga Therapy, BA in Psychology, and as a certified educational trainer and former school administrator, Lisa writes and organizes curricula and trainings with an emphasis on trauma recovery. Her programs are designed to be culturally responsive and supportive of those with exceptional physical, emotional, social, behavioral, and learning challenges. Lisa is the Founder and CEO of Create Calm, a non-profit yoga and mindfulness education team devoted to inspiring resilience and social-emotional as well as physical wellness in schools and community-serving organizations. She is also the owner of Radiant Child Yoga, a Yoga Alliance certified school and training program established in 1999 to empower adults to share the evidence-based tools of yoga with children to help them maintain or regain their inherent state of wellbeing. Lisa has presented on many national stages including the Annual Teacher Conference for the DC Office of the State Superintendent of Education, New Mexico National Association for the Education of Young Children, the Kennedy Center VSA Intersections Annual Educators Conference, and the National Kids Yoga Conference. She has written for NAEYC, Washington Parent, Highlights, and Awakenings magazines.
